LV9R32 Surface Mounting Socket Assembly

Approved for unrestricted installation on LUL premises, including Section 12 locations, Blakley Electrics LV9R32 metal clad socket assemblies are manufactured in accordance with LUL specifications. They are designed to be installed on platforms and in other locations to provide supplies for cleaning apparatus and for general maintenance.

LV9R32 sockets incorporate RCD protection and are designed to meet disconnection times on 110V circuits with a high earth fault loop impedance (Zs). To comply with all LUL requirements, the Blakley Electrics LV9R should be fed from our range of RCD protected 110V transformers as detailed in APR 2071 and APR2072.

Enclosure
The enclosure comprises of a surface mounting back box and a removable front plate. The back box is fabricated from mild steel sheet and finished in a white, LUL approved, electro-statically applied, polyester powder paint. The front plate is made from stainless steel with a brushed finish and incorporates a hinged cover with quick release fastener, which allows access to the RCCB operating dolly. The cover is finished in a yellow, LUL approved, electro-statically applied, polyester powder paint. The enclosure provides protection to IP55 and the front plate and RCCB dolly cover are both gasketted. However, the overall rating of the assembly is IP44, due to the ingress rating of the 32A metal clad socket.

Equipment
Fitted with an ABB 40A DP 30mA Type A RCCB, which is suitable for operation on a 110V RLV supply and feeds a 32A 2P+E 110V IP44 metal clad socket to BS EN 60309-2. Please note: as the assembly does not incorporate integral overcurrent protection it must be fed from an MCB or fuse device with a rating not exceeding 32A.
The terminals of the RCCB fitted within the LV9R32 assembly can accommodate up to a single 25mm² cable or can be used to loop-in and loop-out up to 2 no. 10mm² cables.
